Hi
Recently a customer contacted us about purchasing Panorama or SCM Pro due to log retention issues.
Can SCM Pro be used for simple log collection, reporting, and monitoring purposes?
Otherwise, is it a prerequisite to connect SCM with the firewall?
(The connect I mentioned refers to the existing 'panorama managed mode')
For reference, the firewall to be linked is an on-premise device.

If the customer's requirement is to only collect logs, then Strata Logging Service: Introduction to Strata Logging Service is better fit. With Strata Cloud Manager Pro, you get features for Firewall management + Strata Logging Service. See details here: Strata Cloud Manager Licenses. If logging is only requirement, then Strata Logging Service will be cheaper option.

The customer is considering future integrated management as part of a future firewall replacement project.
That's why customer prefers SCM Pro over SLS.
However, I want to first connect the logs of the on-premise equipment that is currently in use, and then connect it with SCM Pro when I replace the firewall later.
So I was wondering if it could be used for simple log collection and monitoring purposes?
